Tribute Issue - Wil

Back in the day, I used to get tribute or fan made issues. I don't seem them much anymore, but I saved every one I ever received. This one came from my good friend, Wil. This issue came a bit of a classic, because Wil made Dennis actually talk. That was unheard of previously. Wil did a great job of capturing the comic and it's damn fun to read. This is the last issue for this series, for now. Nothing here really from my childhood. This is just unabashed Dennis-based-comedy.... at it's rawest and cutest. If this issue doesn't make sense, read it again. It'll sink in. ENJOY!

issue 1 - Lil' Gregory: the cute lil' angry robot

Hello faithful readers and those new to the site! If you've never read 'Gregory: the really angry robot' before, this isn't the best place to start. If you're up to date on all of the issues so far, then this might be a treat. Every once in a while, I did a special issue or a spin-off or side issue all together. This was a 3 part series involving the 'Gregory' cast as little kids. Who doesn't love to see their favorite characters as little versions of themselves? And I love Halloween, so it was a no brainer to merge the two. Then I added Dennis and POOF! instant classic. This is issue 1 in the series and I'm planning on releasing the other 2 over the next two days. I am planning on doing more of these in the future.... I think. Unless something changes and I can't come up with any good ideas. Only time well tell. In the meantime, here's issue 1 and a little extra treat until the new issues start dropping on Wednesday, December 14th. ENJOY!

issue 100 - Gregory: the really angry robot

When I started this goofy little comic strip, I never saw it going anywhere.... let alone, all the way to 100 issues! Well, once something takes on a life of its own, who knows how far it will go? This is the first mega sized issue that I've done. I have done more panels before, but not like this. This was a labor of love and a great way to celebrate 100 issues of stupidity. ENJOY! (The issue was too large to put in one big piece, as it couldn't be read. So, I broke it up into 5 parts that can be enlarged for easier reading.)

I really wish I could go back in time and re-live whatever it was that made me create certain issues. This is a prime example. I don't know if I've ever even seen an episode of Boobah, but the joke was based on the stupid rhyme I came up with. After that, just plug in Dennis and all is good! This issue makes me feel dirty. ENJOY!

issue 60 - Gregory: the really angry robot

On occasion, I just go a little nuts and make an issue that makes no sense. I do them more for my own amusement than anyone else's, but there are a few readers that get my strange sense of comedy. Which makes it all worthwhile. However, when I go back and look at the issue, I have to wonder what in the hell I was thinking!?!? This is one of those issues. If you can explain this one to me, I dare you to try. I don't even get it and I created it. ENJOY!

issue 43 - Gregory: the really angry robot

I love Charles Bronson. Ever since Dennis introduced me to his films, I've been hooked. It was only logical that he make his way into the Gregory-verse. This is his first appearance, but not his last. I also felt it was appropriate to include Dennis in this issue and what better way than to give him his own Charles Bronson mask? Comedy soon followed. ENJOY!

issue 41 (the return.) - Gregory: the really angry robot

After taking a much needed hiatus, I returned to form. In this issue, I explain where I've been and, of course, Dennis stops by to send his regards. It's a simple issue explaining things and having a little sweet sentiment.... but that's it. Nothing more, nothing less. ENJOY!

issue 38 - Gregory: the really angry robot

Dennis is back and with a new mask! This time, it's his 'Jaws' themed headgear. I wish I could go back and re-live all the moments where these ideas came about.... it would be a darn fun time. Anyway, sometimes simple is good and this issue is very simple. ENJOY!

issue 32 - Gregory: the really angry robot

Dennis enjoyed being a character in 'Gregory: the really angry robot'. And I liked taking things he'd come up with in real life and insterting them into the comic. Case in point, 'Richard Nixon Porn Star'. The mask and t-shirt that Dennis is wearing in this issue are basically the costume for 'Richard Nixon Porn Star'. So I added a loose plot involving The Clerk and VIOLA!.... comedy. ENJOY!

issue 29 - Gregory: the really angry robot

More Dennis! This is the issue based on the original idea that got Dennis involved in this comic to begin with. It also uses The Clerk yet again, but he's in another job. He changes them a lot. I also introduced everyone to the gorilla mask. I know, it's not exactly the best gorilla mask.... deal with it. Finally, with the Dennis character, you can always expect him to pop his head back around the corner for one final laugh. That's partially because I couldn't seem to draw his head straight. ENJOY!

issue 28 - Gregory: the really angry robot

This is the first introduction of Dennis. Now, Dennis is a real person and a long time, dear friend of mine. He's a bit of an odd duck sometimes and we all love to play up that fact. Hence, his introduction to this Gregory-verse. We never see his face and we never hear him talk, all we see is him in a mask. This all stems from a plan he had (in real life) to get a gorilla costume and stand in the middle of a cemetary wearing it, waving at cars driving by on the freeway. I'm not sure why he wanted to do this, but it made me laugh. So, when you see his character in a gorilla mask.... you'll know why. ENJOY!

(side note: Dennis became a huge fan favorite character and is probably the most used supporting character in the series.... and yes, it's fun creating the masks)
