issue 64 - Gregory: the really angry robot

Billy is back, yet again. This time.... he meets an Oompah Loompah and is offered the chance of a lifetime. It's a simple issue. It's a crisp and clean issue. It's an issue that leads into another bigger issue. These are the ones that I loved to write the most. It was quick and got right to the point. ENJOY!

issue 63 - Gregory: the really angry robot

Issue 63 started a short bit about Carol Channing. It all came about innocently enough, when I saw her in a picture with Milton Bearle. How she ties in with the Oompah Loompah? I have no clue now. I'm sure there is a perfectly good logic behind it. Perhaps you can find it? And if you do, let me know. Either way, it makes me laugh. ENJOY!

issue 62 - Gregory: the really angry robot

Seeing this issue now, I'm not sure if this may have been the 'after the hiatus' issue. As you can see, my hair is now shaved off in this issue. That's what leads me to believe that this was after the break. This is the first time that I used a real photo in the comic. It's also a fine example of me breaking the 4th wall again. I also am talking to myself, about myself. It's all some damn confusing in the Gregory-verse. ENJOY!

issue 61 - Gregory: the really angry robot

I cannot say for sure, but I'm pretty certain that I had just come off of a hiatus. This was my first issue back. I don't remember why I went on hiatus again or for how long, I just remember that this issue was a long time coming. Either way, it's basically a 'Black Friday' type theme issue. I thought it was funny at the time, I think it still might be? ENJOY!

issue 60 - Gregory: the really angry robot

On occasion, I just go a little nuts and make an issue that makes no sense. I do them more for my own amusement than anyone else's, but there are a few readers that get my strange sense of comedy. Which makes it all worthwhile. However, when I go back and look at the issue, I have to wonder what in the hell I was thinking!?!? This is one of those issues. If you can explain this one to me, I dare you to try. I don't even get it and I created it. ENJOY!

issue 59 - Gregory: the really angry robot

My hero, Charles Bronson, makes his triumphant return to Gregory: the really angry robot! This time, instead of meeting Dennis, he gets to meet Billy the Belligerent Bot. Oh boy.... ENJOY!

issue 58 - Gregory: the really angry robot

The saga of the rowboat carries on. This time, the joke works much better. (I think.) It's also another chance for me to break my own rules and to keep the reader on their toes. It makes you wonder, is anything in the Gregory-verse real? Is it? ENJOY!

issue 57 - Gregory: the really angry robot

One of the funnest (is that a word?) things about the Gregory-verse, is when I can break the rules. This was a little jaunt that I came up with to shake things up a bit. The whole thing was based on a play on words that just popped into my head one day. The rest of it just grew up around that single idea. I actually like issue 58 a little better, but you have to have a good set up to pull off the overall joke, right? ENJOY!

issue 56 - Gregory: the really angry robot

Finally! The first appearance of Billy the Belligerent Bot! He's Gregory's cousin and seems to be a bit more angry and mean than Gregory himself. He's one of a few characters that I designed with a pencil and piece of paper. He was translated to MS Paint AFTER I drew him in real life. I don't know if that's why I like his design so much or if it's just him.... either way, he's a fun character that has a life of his own. Which, in case I haven't mentioned it previously, I feel that a character that takes on a life of it's own is the most likely to become iconic. If you create a character and it just leaps off the page seems to have a life of it's own, then you know you've done something good. It's equal to charisma in real life celebrities. That little something that makes you want to know more about them or watch them on screen. Well, Billy had that. In my opinion. ENJOY!

issue 55 - Gregory: the really angry robot

Since The Smoking Moose seemed to be a favorite character of mine, but no one else seemed to get it, I thought I would poke fun of myself. Hence, The Smoking Goose. This is one of those very simple issues with not much going on, but in simplicity comes brilliance. (maybe not brilliance, but something that makes me laugh) ENJOY!

issue 54 - Gregory: the really angry robot

Is that Billy the Belligerent Bot in the background? Yup, it is. He's not 'physically' in an issue yet, but this is another teaser. The brilliant thing about this issue is the movie that Gregory is watching. We never see it, but you get the general idea of what is going on and it ain't pretty. 'The Playground of Death', not a film that could exist in normal/mainstream cinema. However, in the Gregoryverse, anything is possible. ENJOY!

issue 53 - Gregory: the really angry robot

There he is again! In this issue, it seems that I call him 'Smokey'. I don't remember if that was an actual name or just me giving him a nickname.... because he's smoking. Also, in this issue, I've furthered my non-smoking message. Not that I want to change anyone's mind or anything, I think it was meant for the kids. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. ENJOY!

issue 52 - Gregory: the really angry robot

One of my favorite characters, The Smoking Moose, gets another full issue to make me laugh. (although, I'm not sure it makes anyone else laugh) This one has a very subtle non-smoking message, although I have nothing against anyone smoking.... if they want to. I wish I knew what made me think of The Smoking Moose. To me, it's genius and you can expect to see more of him. ENJOY! (something I forgot to mention earlier, is that all of these characters are some fragment of my own personality.... every one of them.... nice)

issue 51 - Gregory: the really angry robot

I love the very last line of this issue. Hogarth gets some amazing one liners that only he could pull off. This is yet another anime style issue, I just couldn't stop doing them.... they were so fun. ENJOY!

issue 50 - Gregory: the really angry robot

It's another anime issue and it makes zero sense. Gregraham Lincoln, some weird animal thingy, me dressed as a schoolgirl.... what the heck is up with all of that? These issues are all so much fun to make, even if they make no sens.... that really doesn't matter. You can enjoy these issues regardless. ENJOY!

issue 49 - Gregory: the really angry robot

At last, the introduction of The Smoking Moose! One of my favorite characters and also two words that are damn fun to say together! Does The Smoking Moose have a point or a message? Nope. He's just a silly character with a bad vice. The funny thing is that I liked him so much, I created other characters with simliar vices. ENJOY!

issue 48 - Gregory: the really angry robot

I am not 100% if this issues dialogue makes sense or not. Ah well.... It's a fun little continuation of the last issues topical discussion. In the end of this, however, Yicky appears to put a period on the sentence. Yes, this is the end of this sequence. ENJOY!

issue 47 - Gregory: the really angry robot

The Clerk and The CEO are back again and this time they're together! A strange combination, but it speaks directly to the upperclass connecting with the middle/lower class. Or perhaps to the worker and the employer? It wasn't intended, but that's how it came out. I mean, sometimes the higher ups need to connect with those who work for them, so they can see what's really going on. Not just what's on a TPS report. Am I right? ENJOY!

issue 46 (the odd issue.) - Gregory: the really angry robot

I love changing things up and creating new characters. This one was so out of left field that how can you not love it? I have no clue where in the hell it came from, what it's name is, what it's purpose is.... all I know is that it made me giggle and I hope it made others giggle too. And, by the way, have you smelled asparagus pee before? It is truly an odd smell. ENJOY!

issue 45 - Gregory: the really angry robot

Yet another celebrity makes a stop in the Gregory-verse. This time, it's Dennis DeYoung of the band Styx. I hate Dennis DeYoung. It's implied that Gregory did something to him to make him 'go away'. I'll leave the rest of what happneed up to you. (by the way, if you heard the promo for the return of Greogry, before you started reading this, STYX's song 'Mr. Roboto' is used. Define irony.) ENJOY!

issue 44 - Gregory: the really angry robot

One of my first attempts at creating a whole scene, including backgrounds and set dressings. I think it turned out pretty well. This also is the issue with the first appearance of Billy the Belligerent Bot.... Gregory's cousin. Now, the show on the TV is supposed to be 'Night of the Living Dead' (1968), but obviously Gregory has something else on. The Spanish coming from the TV should make sense to those who speak the language. However, I don't speak it and had to use Babel Fish to write it all out and translate it. That means, I'm taking a big leap of faith by putting it out there and not having it spot checked first. Anyone speak Spanish? ENJOY!

issue 43 - Gregory: the really angry robot

I love Charles Bronson. Ever since Dennis introduced me to his films, I've been hooked. It was only logical that he make his way into the Gregory-verse. This is his first appearance, but not his last. I also felt it was appropriate to include Dennis in this issue and what better way than to give him his own Charles Bronson mask? Comedy soon followed. ENJOY!

issue 42 - Gregory: the really angry robot

I remember when the inspiration for this hit me and for some reason I found it really funny in my head. Upon creating the costume and putting it all together, I think it came pretty close to the original idea I had in my head. Is it as funny as I thought it was? You can be the judge of that. Who doesn't love The Lord of the Dance?!?! (personally, I don't) ENJOY!

issue 41 (the return.) - Gregory: the really angry robot

After taking a much needed hiatus, I returned to form. In this issue, I explain where I've been and, of course, Dennis stops by to send his regards. It's a simple issue explaining things and having a little sweet sentiment.... but that's it. Nothing more, nothing less. ENJOY!

issue 40 (the big bang) - Gregory: the really angry robot

Here is an example of using a bit of a cheat. You all know that I cut and paste this comic together from single panel drawings, right? Nothing is any different here, except that I used cut and paste to take the entire group shot I'd drawn to create the last panel. The group shot was done for promotional material, but I saw a better use for it here. This was the first issue where I took a hiatus. I would take several more in the course of the 10 year history, but this was one of (if not the only one) that I warned the reader ahead of time. If you're wondering why I stopped? It's all explained in issue 41. Lucky for you, it won't be a year and a half before you find out the answer. ENJOY!

(side note: during my hiatus(s), my good friend Adam took over the strip and wrote 'Greg-in-ex'. (Gregory in exile) He still put it under my name, but in reality.... he was doing all the work. I will probably include all of those later on, as they are well worth reading.)

(side, side note: you may notice a face or two in the crowd that you've never seen before.... I had characters that were created that didn't make the strip. I included them all at a later date.)
